ABOUT ME

Hello!
And thank you for taking an interest in my portfolio

My name is Martin, I am from Norway and I love games.

Currently working as a 3D tech artist at Offshore Simulator Center having varied tasks from 3D modelling and texturing, model implementation and tool development for the art pipeline.

I have experience from co-founding a VR game company after university and was the Creative Director at the company. Most notable work was the development and publish of oVRshot; a VR bow shooting game made for PC VR (Occulus, Vive and Windows VR).

I have a bachelor in game design and -development from Nord University. Here I am specializing in game arts, and due to the small team sizes and varying game projects I get a good mix of 2D and 3D game experience. The good thing with this study program is that we are introduced to many of the disciplines of game creation ranging from the design aspect, programming and the esthetics. We also have the Gamelab course every semester where we start the semester by presenting three game ideas. The teachers pick one and we start working on this specializing in different roles, and in the end, hopefully, publish a finished product.

I have some experience within the game industry as an influencer as I have written reviews and opinions on the Norwegian game site spill.no and I create content for my own channels on Twitch, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube.

Apart from this I have leadership experience from several organizations like the NITO students at Campus Steinkjer, and I proudly served in His Norwegian Majesty's Navy.
